This 18-week comprehensive course, led by Achara Tarfa, a Level 3 Trained IFS Practitioner, offers an in-depth exploration of trauma-informed care and the principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS). The course is taught twice a year, in January and August, through a mix of didactic teaching, experiential exercises, skill-building, and demonstrations.
 

This program is designed for social workers, therapists, counselors, coaches, and other healing professionals, equipping them with practical tools to provide IFS-informed, trauma-sensitive care.

You will receive...

18 week course with 54 Hours of instruction

This extended course offers 54 hours of in-depth, structured learning, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and its trauma-informed application. The extended format allows for deeper exploration of IFS principles, ensuring you have ample time to absorb and apply the teachings in real-world scenarios.

Taught Twice a Year: January & August

Offered twice a year, this course fits into your professional and personal schedule, allowing you to choose the timing that works best for you. Whether you’re starting the year with a commitment to growth in January, or looking to refine your skills in the August session, the flexible scheduling ensures you won’t miss out.

15 Hours of Supervised Triad Practice & 3 Hours of Personal Parts Mapping

You’ll gain hands-on experience through 15 hours of supervised triad practice, where you’ll apply what you’ve learned in a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, each participant will receive 3 hours of personal parts mapping, a powerful tool for understanding your own internal system. This combination of practice and self-exploration ensures you’ll leave the course with both personal insights and professional skills.

Taught by BIPOC and BIPOC Allies

This course is led by a diverse team of instructors, including BIPOC and BIPOC allies, ensuring an inclusive, culturally sensitive environment. By learning from practitioners with varied perspectives, you’ll experience a richer, more nuanced understanding of how to apply IFS principles in diverse settings.

Small Class Size: 12 to 20 Participants

With a class size limited to a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 20, you’ll benefit from personalized attention and a highly interactive learning experience. This intimate group size fosters deeper connections, collaborative learning, and ample opportunity for individual support from the instructors. You won’t get lost in a crowd, ensuring you get the most out of each session.
